Following programmes are conducted in open house from time to time.

Empowerment for Corporate Excellence

Preamble:

It is a well known fact that most of the corporate executives use fraction of their potential and power to influence the environment and achieve results. Interestingly, disempowerment is usually not from outside factors & environment but from within their own selves. People hold themselves from using their full power due to all sorts of imaginary or even real blocks. This is their blind spot, they do not even know first, that they are blocked and secondly that these blocks are primarily imaginary or can be removed with some help. Once they are facilitated towards this enlightenment that they are powerful and can easily use this power, the results start showing in greater achievements, both for themselves as well as organisations.

Salient Benefits:

·         Enhanced performance and direct effect on bottom-line;

·         Greater job satisfaction and sense of well being due to better emotional management;

·         Improvement in work climate as people start taking responsibility rather than blaming;

·         Reduction in executive stress due to greater sense of control and optimism;

·          Less need for supervision & follow-up, hence better time management

Methodology:

It is primarily experiential, i.e. participants learn from their own experiences generated during the variety of exercises and their own participation. More stress is laid on affective rather than cognitive changes. In fact emotions are the primary transforming energy used for learning and change.

Duration:

Minimum Two days. However Ideal is Four days.

SENSITIVITY TRAINING / T-GROUP

This programme utilizes experience based learning and self-analytical group processes (T-Group) as its main training method. In a group, around 8 to 12 participants assemble together and work with a facilitator to discover their strengths, interpersonal relationships, participation in the group and how they are perceived by others etc.

In this T-Group setting, the group evolves like a laboratory. The members act as resource to each other facilitating mutual learning through experiencing, reflecting, hypothesizing, experimenting and conceptualizing rather than through lectures.

Objectives

§         Become aware of one’s own patterns of behaviour;

§         Become aware of the impact of one’s behaviour on others and vice versa;

§         Improve one’s effectiveness in interpersonal interactions so as to derive greater satisfaction from them;

§         Discover one’s dormant potential to live more effectively and meaningfully.

This training methodology is very practical and widely used in organisations in India and abroad for training all levels of executives.

ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION TRAINING (AMT)

Most people in this world, psychologically, can be divided into two broad groups. There is that minority which is challenged by opportunity and willing to work hard to achieve something, and that majority which really does not care all that much. In other words, those who have the high need to achieve and those with low achievement drive.

Research has proved time and again that any organization (and even country/state) with people having high need to achieve performs much better than average organization (state). It is the dream of most of the CEO’s to have the high achieving people in their team and organization. But the practical constraints in that are, first, there are not enough of the very best people around, secondly, it is not very easy to get them, thirdly, one has to pay them a huge amount and fourthly, they may not stay long enough. So the idea that one is going to get the very best people to run one’s business is not very realistic. The alternative is if we can not get the very best people, then we get the very best out of the people we have.

Our Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) programme facilitates the organizations in doing precisely this. This state-of-art experiential programme enables participants to raise their need for achievement permanently by making deep rooted changes in the way they feel, think, act and behave. In other words, it enables them to recondition themselves for greater achievements in professional and personal life. It is win-win situation for both employees and the organization- to succeed in professional and personal life for employees and higher growth for the organizations.

The AMT programme design we use has been validated all over the world for its effectiveness. This is an unique programme which  has the potential of changing the entire climate of an organization. In fact this programme has been used in India and abroad to raise the economic standard of life for whole of communities.

THE 4H PROGRAMME To Develop The TOTAL QUALITY PERSON

Modern organizations are facing global competition and this threat brings also an opportunity to build muscles and show one’s mettle to the world. Behind all successful organizations are the people, the employees who display rare qualities of the head, heart and spirit.

The 4H programme facilitates in developing such qualities in so called common executives. Human potential is unlimited and also massively under-utilized in majority of the organizations. However, successful organisations make effort to develop them to their fullest potential.

Objectives:

§         To increase the achievement drive enabling people to achieve unimagined results,

§         To develop healthy attitude towards work, people and situations, thereby enhancing enthusiasm         and confidence to live and work with full energy,

§         To sharpen interpersonal and relationship skills through skilful management of emotions ( Emotional Quotient) and attitudes,

§         To bring peace and harmony in self and world by a greater integration in the different parts of one's self(Spiritual Quotient),

§         To learn how to release stress, increase physical energy and sense of well being,

§         Inculcation of optimum self-discipline, pride and passion for one’s work,

§         Unblocking of creative energies,

In short the 4H programme has been designed to develop the Total Quality Person having:

HEALTH,

HARMONY,

HEIGHTS (achievements) &

HAPPINESS

There is a beautiful synergy in organization and personal goal of a Total Quality Person(TQP). Maslow, a great psychologist of 20th century, has declared: The only happy people I know are the ones who are working well at something they consider important. Work becomes worship for a Total Quality Person.

We, at UTSAV, are excited to bring before you such experiential training programme to be conducted by professional trainers. It is our belief that organisations are not only touching one life of the employee but also influencing the lives of his/her close family of five/six persons.

This benefits all: the organization by getting better results, the employees & their families by enriching their lives and society by its economic and cultural progress.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE BASED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Leadership may mean different things in different contexts. In corporate context , in simple terms it means attaining corporate objectives with social responsibility. That would translate into different benefits to different stakeholders: healthy ROI for investors, fulfilment of customer needs cost effectively & competitively with high standards of service and job satisfaction & growth of employees. Along with all this, leadership involves taking the organisation to greater heights in all spheres despite myriad challenges on the way; and this requires extraordinary leadership vision.

Indeed, it is the most challenging of modern day tasks!

When one takes stock of one’s repertoire of leadership skills, in a sense one is assessing the sum total of a lifetime of learning

The basic assumption behind this programme is that anyone who has the will and the motivation can better at leading once he understands the steps.

Research in Indian context (Dr Ishwar Dayal) points to following three critical processes in leadership development:

1.        Gaining orientation towards achievement, setting life goals for oneself;

2.        Maturing or crystallisation of “ What I want in Life”;

3.        Achieving wisdom derived from one’s experiences. This enlarges the scope of one’s own thinking, feeling and behaving: Becoming One Self.

All the above processes have management of feelings at their base. The functional coping with variety of feelings within and without oneself strengthen these processes.

The following five step model will be the backbone of this experiential programme:

1.        My ideal self discovery;

2.        My real self discovery;

3.        My Learning agenda based on above;

4.        Experimenting and practising new behaviours, thoughts, and feelings to the point of mastery;

5.        Developing support network; for that makes the above change programme effective and even possible.

We have designed the programme to enable participants to achieve the following objectives:

·         Diagnosis of the participant’s leadership strengths and weaknesses;

·         Learn and manage the leadership development processes within self and also at organisation level- self directed learning skills;

·         Clear about the roadmap of one’s leadership development plan and starting practising new leadership skills;

·         Emotional management skills enhancement;

·         Widening the leadership style repertoire and instinctive skill in matching the style with situation based on emotional cues.

·         Motivation and emotional commitment towards their leadership development through group dynamics;

·         Planning of mentoring process inside and outside of organisation;

Customer Service Excellence through Team  Development

Introduction:

Modern Behavioural Science developments have clearly demonstrated that teams have high potentials which can be realised through management of group dynamics.

Group dynamics includes the following:

How members feel towards each other and the team?
What are the commitment levels towards team goals?
What is the culture i.e. norms, values, attitudes, sentiments prevalent amongst the team members?
What is the leadership pattern and style?
What are the processes of decision making, communication patterns, conflict management, reward-punishment and authority relations?
What is the dominant orientation of people in terms of performance, affiliation or power? and so on.

All of these dimensions influence the morale of the team, commitment of members towards their jobs, sense of belonging and acceptance and therefore the performance and productivity of the team and their job satisfaction levels.

The basic concept is to synergise the /team goals and members psycho-social needs. This fulfils both:  the organisation achieves its goals and members experience enhanced job satisfaction and growth. In simple terms, this means while enjoying their work, they are also achieving team goals.

Objectives of the workshop:

·         Enhancement of sense of belonging, acceptance and identification with one’s team and consequently sense of job satisfaction;

·         Enhancing the overall performance of the team in terms of customer requirements;

·         Team development through individual learning and development in areas of emotional management, inter-personal relations and communication;

·         Building culture of excellence;

·         Improvement in the organisational climate for work and relationships.

Methodology:

Experiential methodology involving learning from ‘here and now’ generated experiences, management games, structured and semi-structured exercises, inventories, role plays and case studies.

Executive Development through Attitude Management

We are made up of attitudes, opinions, thoughts, instincts and feelings. Our attitudes are the determining factors for success and happiness that we enjoy in our life. A healthy attitude is one that enhances life and is based on the ground reality.

Most of our attitudes are acquired unconsciously from significant people in our lives. One way to enhance happiness and success in our life is to re-examine the way we relate with others and situations i.e. our attitudes and what are its consequences for us and others.

Objectives of the workshop:

 Modern behavioural Science has given us tools to reshape our attitudes so that our sense of well being and power is enhanced and we achieve more in life, both at work and in terms of greater satisfactions in relationships. This is the fundamental premise of this workshop.

This programmes aims to achieve the following specific objectives:

·         Enhance our sense of power and well being;

·         Greater satisfaction in relationships at work and also at home;

·         Improvement in the climate of work team and family;

·         Greater career achievements &  job satisfaction that benefit self and organisation;

·         Greater productivity and performance for organisation – a direct impact on the bottomline;

Methodology:

Experiential methodology involving learning from ‘here and now’ generated experiences, management games, structured and semi-structured exercises, inventories, role plays and case studies.
